Volunteer firefighter orientation videos everybody should watch.

I spend a lot of time scouring the net trying to find various firefighter training aids such as videos.  I came across a few over the years which I think are pretty good.

Chief Rick Lasky  has a well produced video on what it means to be a firefighter.  A good video to watch to remind you of why you do what you do.  Welcome to the Fire Service (youtube)

The Chicago Fire Department has a video reinforcing "Everyone goes Home" and safety is paramount.

Firefighter TV Shows 2012

After watching a few episodes of the now cancelled drama "Rescue Me" recently on netflix I was wondering what other TV shows about firefighting are currently airing or in production.  The following is what I have found out;

"Chicago Fire" is a drama that airs on GlobalTV around October 10th, 2012.  You can view more details on the GlobalTV Website and/or watch this preview; Chicago Fire Video Preview.
"Lives on Fire" a reality tv show about female firefighters at Station 17 in Riverside California.
This show started airing in June 2012. Lives-on-Fire-About-the-Show. 

"First In"  is a reality tv show that shows the lives of Compton, California firefighters.  It began airing on BET around 2009.   If you get the BET network you can watch it there otherwise it is probably available via netflix or Itunes.
